Bex kicks the door shut behind him, large hands fumbling with the wood in his arms as his attempts to pull his boots off end in little more than a stumble. You can't bring yourself to hold back the little snort as you make little grabbing motions towards the bundle in his arms, though you're loathe to admit how your arms sag when Bex finally does hand it over. Though he doesn't say anything, the amused twinkle in his eye is enough.

"Yeah, yeah." you mutter. You're both getting old. As the man busies himself with those oversized boots of his, you lug the wood over to the fireplace with a heaving sigh, the last remnants of a dying flame spluttering out to darkness. With the heat absent the cool of the icy Xacthan forest rushes back in, setting an unpleasant ache into your fingers that leaves you stuffing them under your arms.

Joined by Bex, he throws some wood on the ashes of your previous fire and rubs your hands between his own. He's so warm, you want to just bury yourself in him. "Couldn't you just keep the fire going with magic?" Your face scrunches up.

"Well yeah, technically, but energy and all that." Brushing a stray fleck of ice off his should you can't help but sigh. Rolling your eyes the flame erupts with nary a whisper, and you're awash in heat once more. Bex presses a kiss to your cheek and stands with one final squeeze of your hand. "How is it? Outside?" You ask absently, staring into the flame. You know you're free, you're in the middle of nowhere, but Bex... the orc grunts.

"Nothing. It's always nothing. Just deer." You know. You know. But still, you worry, even in the cold of winter. Bex sighs and toys with a little carving on the bannister. His overlarge hand practically engulfs the tiny thing. "Nox sent a letter." He says, and your ears prick up, "She's planning on visiting once winter blows over." You can't help but roll your eyes. If she wasn't intent on wearing sleeveless tunics all the time she might be able to come around more often. Stubborn... "She also said something about kicking the little King's ass for you."

"Emil's doing fine." You roll your eyes. All things considered he really was ideal for royalty. And it helps having Necrolym and Nox to guard him too. He never did quite take to battle. "I think she's just getting stir crazy in that castle." Another grunted reply.

"Probably. Expect her to want to fight you when she gets here." You wouldn't expect anything less. As you stand, Bex presses another kiss to the top of your head and places the little figure back down. His yellow eyes shine orange in the fire before he turns away. He misses his sister, despite their differences.

"Bex—" As you turn a playful frown crawls across your face. The ice that had settled on his clothes has since melted, now dripping down onto the  carpet. "Oh, go have a bath you sodden cat." When you give him a look a grin slowly spreads his cheeks, strong arms reaching out to grab at you. You take a step back, "No. Don't  do it." Then another, and then Bex lunges. With a shriek your front is suddenly damp and cold, skin already shivering despite the fire. The large orc lifts you into his arms, kisses hot on your skin as your complaints turn to laughter. And just like that, the solemnity is gone.

No one asked but like, what if. Tsuare was turned into a dragon like Sebas. I imagine she'd either be a fairy dragon or a feathered dragon with gold scaling ~ ♡
